KSPHQ Covid-19 precautions

In an effort to keep our volunteer counselors safe and healthy, Headquarters, Inc. is temporarily closing off our office to visitors. As part of this precautionary step, all staff will work remotely, and meetings/trainings will be suspended or take place virtually. Administratively, Headquarters, Inc. will maintain business as usual, remotely.

We know that many Kansans are feeling anxiety and concern over the Covid-19 pandemic. For anyone in crisis or needing emotional support for themselves or a loved one, crisis services remain open, free, and confidential 24 hours a day. Call our direct local line at 785-841-2345; chat online at CrisisChat.org, or through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. For information on how the lifeline works, visit HeadquartersCounselingCenter.org/learn-more/.

Call volumes are higher than normal, so we ask all callers to please be patient. Know that you are valued, you are important, your feelings are valid, and we want to talk to you. We hope that every Kansan is appreciative of Headquarters Counseling Center’s volunteer counselors who continue to volunteer their time to take calls from people across the state and beyond in crisis, in need of emotional support, or considering suicide.

Headquarters, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and the largest comprehensive suicide prevention organization in the state of Kansas. If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide or just need to talk about anything going on in your life, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or Headquarters Counseling Center directly at 785-841-2345 or chat online at HeadquartersInc.org. You are not alone, you are valued, and help is just a phone call away.
